Celebrate Christmas at North Ridgeville’s 12th Annual Holiday on the Ridge festivities on Saturday, December 1 from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m.  Businesses and special events along with five craft shows will welcome the city’s holiday season.  The event culminates with the city’s tree lighting and a live re-enactment of the First Christmas Story- Search for the Christ Child.

Produced by the North Ridgeville Visitors Bureau, many businesses will have special discounts, give-a-ways and drawings.  Kick off the day at the Kiwanis/Key Club pancake breakfast at the high school. Make time for the five craft shows filled with handcrafted treasures and be sure to bring your “wish list” for Santa.

The participating business locations are Don Mould’s Garden Center, Center Ridge Health Campus, Feathered Nest, Buescher’s Hardware, LeHoty’s Hallmark, Poppee’s Popcorn, Somewhere in Time/Blue Barn, Aarons, Mi Bella Casa Furniture and Grateful Dog Bakery. The businesses will be open from 9 am – 6 pm. and bring your cameras for holiday photos with special Christmas characters around town.

At the North Ridgeville Library, warm up with hot chocolate and cookies. See special holiday offerings, including harpist Cecilia Ilg McKay in the afternoon from 1:30 -4:30 pm. The craft shows are from 9 am – 4 pm and include St. Peter’s, First Congregational UCC, Church of God Holly Days, Senior Center Craft Fair and Sugar Ridge Baptist Church Craft Show.  Get a commemorative N. Ridgeville Heritage print personally signed by artist Richard Doyle at the Congregational Church from 10 am - noon. Join the annual caroling and official tree lighting at the gazebo in South Central Park at 5:00 pm.

Complete the day at Field’s United Methodist Church. From 5:30 – 8 pm. 

Plan to attend the Search for the Christ Child interactive performance that takes visitors through an indoor walking journey of what it must have been like on the First Christmas eve.
